If you think afternoon tea is all about opulent china and dainty bites, then think again. Afternoon tea in the London Edition’s Punch Room, is definitely an altogether stronger affair.
The wood lined room is surprisingly bright and airy and the menu is perfect for a late afternoon pick-me-up.
According to the Edition, Scandal Water “was the 19th Century slang for tea and became the thing to do amongst the upper echelons of London Society, for whom work was unthinkable and consequently boredom was a very real issue.”
Not that we’re complaining, the afternoon libations certainly pack a punch.
